Irish WEG Qualified Rider Judy Reynolds in Hospital
August 7, 2006
Munich-based Irish international rider Judy Reynolds is recovering in hospital in Germany after an
emergency operation after a removal of her appendix on Thursday 3rd August 2006. The 25-year old Judy qualified along with her trainer Anna Merveldt to represent Ireland at the World Equestrian Games
in Aachen, Germany later this month.
The Naas, Co Kildare native will remain in hospital until Monday 7th August 2006 and will consult with her surgeon at that stage about her chances of being passed fit to compete in Aachen.
This disruption to her preparations for the World Equestrian Games is particularly unfortunate for Reynolds
as she achieved her best ever score [65.45%] in the Grand Prix Kur [Freestyle to Music] with Rathbawn Valet
at Fritzens CDI3*, Austria.
