Judy Reynolds Qualified for 2006 World Equestrian Games

Judy ReynoldsIrish international rider Judy Reynolds qualified to represent her country at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany. Reynolds achieved her WEG qualification score at the CDI Barzago in Italy last weekend.

FEI Dressage Committee Chairman and "O" judge Mariette Withages-Dieltjens [BEL] awarded the 25 year old Naas,Co Kildare native and her Grand Prix mount Rathbawn Valet a score of 64.58% to clinch qualification for the World Equestrian Games. This is the second 64%+ score for Judy from an "O" Judge in a Grand Prix at CDI3* level this season and she will be joined in Aachen by her very experienced trainer Anna Merveldt-Steffens. Munich-based Merveldt-Steffens is already qualified to represent Ireland at the World Equestrian Games with the James Connor owned Lafitte.

Reynolds and Rathbawn Valet placed 8th in the Intermediaire II in Barzago on 62.14% and in a small field of four in the Grand Prix Kur (Freestyle to Music) the Irish rider scored 63.15% for third.
