World
Cup Series Continues
Heike Kemmer's Massive Attack
Heike
Kemmer is best known as the daughter of the owner of
the influential stud farm Amselhof Walle. Furthermore,
she also enjoys recognition as one of the Hanoverian
Stallion Inspection Committee members, but recently
she boosted up her fame as an international dressage
rider. While earlier she was successful with the Hanoverians
Borsalino and Beauvalais, now it is the Oldenburger
Albano (by Argentinus) who's giving her a new ticket
to international stardom.
Heike Kemmer was the reserve team member of the German
Olympic Team in Sydney, a role she earned preceding
a hard battle of competition, politics, money and health.
Albano has given her the world and, although she couldn't
actually compete in Sydney, Kemmer has not finished
her song yet. At the CDI-W Frankfurt, Kemmer produced
a massive attack against European Dressage and produced
impressive scores which will enable her to get a an
active spot in the German Team. Scoring 74.20% in the
Grand Prix and 79.29% (!) in the Kur to Music, Kemmer
dominated the CDI-W Frankfurt. She left Dutch Anky van
Grunsven on Gestion Joker behind her twice with a 3%
point difference. Rudolf Zeilinger saddled his Westfalian
Rubens (by Rosenkavalier) to finish third twice.
Kemmer's victory was not limited to Grand Prix level.
At Prix St Georges level she also won the Siegerpreis, a part of the important
Nurnberger Burgpokal Cup. On the Westfalian breeding
stallion Ferragamo (by Florestan I) Kemmer rode the best improvised freestyle. Her other two competitors in this class were Karen Rehbein (on
Miss Holstein) and Monica Theodorescu (on L'Etoile). The three ladies were the finalists of the Nurnberger Burgpokal which was won by Karen Rehbein with Miss Holstein.
