Hiscox Karachi Sold to The Netherlands
February 21, 2007
British World Class Performance rider Richard Davison
has sold his Grand Prix horse Hiscox Karachi
to former Dutch young rider Elisa Swanenberg. The
14-year old Karachi was competed by Davison at international
Grand Prix level since 2005, but Davison was unable
to get back on the British team for an international
championship with Karachi after he retired his
first ride Ballaseyr
Royale.
The 174 cm standing Karachi is a Hanoverian gelding
by Warkant out of Wange. He was co-owned by Davison's
wife Gillian and their long-term sponsor Hiscox plc.
The partnership produced its best result at the 2006
Sunshine
Tour
CDI, where they finished second in the grand prix
freestyle with a score of 72%.
Aboard the Hanoverian stallion Akatschi, Elisa Swanenberg
competed successfully at international Young Riders
level. With Karachi, Elisa hopes to move up the levels
and ride the Rabo Future Test, the intermediary class
between small tour and big tour for young riders.
