Anne van Olst Sets Hope On Broere Dexter
November 29, 2002
Danish
dressage rider Anne van Olst recently purchased Broere
Dexter as hopeful for the international Grand Prix competition
tour. Together with her Dutch husband Gert Jan van Olst
and the stallion station Broere, Van Olst purchased
the Danish gelding Dexter M.
The 9-year old Danish warmblood by Traumdeuter out
of Draka (by Elizar) caught Van Olst's attention on
the Danish show scene, where he competed under Allan
Skov Christensen and went by the name of Dexter M. The
talented dark bay mount has already competed in several
national Prix St Georges classes and shows great potential
for the piaffe and passage. "I have seen the horse
go and was really charmed by him," Van Olst told
Dutch equestrian magazine Hoefslag. "He really
was put for sale and that's why it seemed interesting
to me to buy the horse together with the Broere Stallion
Station owners."
Former Danish Dressage team member Anne van Olst will
be competing Broere Dexter at Prix St Georges level
first and hopes to train him up to Grand Prix in one
year.
