Dieter Laugks to Ride Meggle Horses
January 13, 2006
Rhineland based dressage rider and trainer Dieter
Laugks has signed a contract with Toni Meggle to train
and compete the Meggle horses in the future. Meggle's
Werthers Wels, a 15-year old Hanoverian by Werther
x Waldhorn, has been with Laugks since October
2005. Meggle's Black Jack, a 10-year old Hanoverian
by Breitling x Vollkorn, is stabled at Laugks'
in Dusseldorf since January 2006.
Laugks, who is a lawyer by profession, is the 2002
German Reserve dressage champion and multiple Rhinelander
regional champion. He signed a sponsor deal with Meggle
which will involve the training of the Meggle show
horses. He will need to commute between Dusseldorf
and Wasserburg for it.
Laugks is one rider/trainer in a series of many that
have worked for Meggle. Markus Gribbe, Christoph Koschel,
Fritz Gaulhofer and Stefan Peter have all been previous
riders at the Meggle stables.
