What's
Happening in the Dressage World?
It's been more than a year since we last published
a What's Happening.. Time to catch up
A
third grandchild for British dressage rider
Jennie Loriston Clarke as daughter Lizzie gives
birth to a daughter. Grand prix rider Lizzie Murray
and her husband William, a furniture maker, welcomed
their first child into the world in June. Matilda Georgina
was born at Winchester Hospital,Hants, weighting in
at 7lb 7oz. Proud grandparents Jennie and Anthony Loriston-Clarke
visited their daughter and third grandchild in hospital
in spite of her hectic schedule at Wellington Premier
League show where Jennie was judging.
And there is more British news (thanks to Horse and
Hound)
Kirsty Mepham has moved from her former Gloucestershire
base with Hans and Marina Rietveld to set up shop at
Wayne and Deborah Channon's yard near Haywards Heath.
"I'm making a fresh start back home in Sussex and plan
to start small with just a handful of boxes," says Kirsty,
who took part in the 'All the Queen's Horses' extravaganza
at Windsor. Kirsty has moved her grand prix partner
Dikkiloo to her new base and is also planning to have
several youngsters from Holland to bring on and sell,
together with schooling/competition liveries.
Maybe this is an opportunity of a life time?
