Houston Proclaimed Keur Stallion
January 12, 2006
The chestnut Dutch warmblood stallion Houston has
been proclaimed Keur Stallion. With a dressage index
of 174 points (reliability of 83%), Houston has proven
his worth as a breeding stallion and after years of
waiting, he finally got recognized by the KWPN society
as a valuable breeding
stallion.
"Based on the performances of his offspring
at breed shows and in competition, Houston was proclaimed
Keur," owners Riekus and Ilonka Veninga stated. "We
want to thank all breeders and riders for the trust
they had in Houston all these years."
Houston is a 1989 born KWPN stallion by Belisar out
of Ciola (by Pion x Papillon) and is bred by Mr Gordijn
from St. Oedenrode, The Netherlands. He competed at
national small tour level under Dutch dressage
riders
Seth Boschman and Annemieke Vincourt-Krom.
Houston
produced several licensed stallions, amongst which
the 2002
KWPN licensing champion Symfonie (Houston x Columbus)
and the 2005 approved Vincent (aka Valdez).
Houston is
stationed
at Veninga's stallion station in Stuifzand, The Netherlands.
