Verden Winter Auction Ended With A Double Record
The
first sales event in the new auction year ended with
two new best results for the Hanoverian Association:
The Weltmeyer/Grossmogul-daughter Weldita was sold at
EURO 100,000. This is a new best price ever achieved
at an riding horse auction beside the elite. Apart from
that, the average sales price was boosted up to EURO
13,355. 118 horses were sold at this kind of auction
that has now been existing since 1985.
In an exiting bidder's duel between Canada and Italy,
the Italian buyers had more staying power and were the
lucky ones to secure the beautiful chestnut mare Weldita
for themselves (breeder: H. Honnigfort, Haren - exhibitor:
D. Köneke, Nienhagen). Buyers from North Rhine-Westphalia
paid only EURO 1,000 less for the brown mare Weltklasse
by Weltruhm/Sassnitz (breeder and exhibitor: F. v. Blottnitz,
Lüchow). Weltklasse also carries Weltmeyer blood.
In
the run-up to the auction, Greta Garbo by Graf Top/Grannus
(breeder: H. Sander, Twistringen - exhibitor: F. Everding,
Scheeßel) was already the favourite show jumping horse.
She was indeed sold at EURO 43,000 and move change to
Sprehe stud farm.
There were again many potential customers from foreign
countries (export rate of 50%). Approx. 3000 spectators
followed this successful beginning of the new auction
year with interest. American customers bought 17 talented
Hanoverian horses, 10 horses will move to Spain, each
eight to Italy and Canada. Additionally, customers from
Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Great Britain
and Sweden bought horses in Verden. Eleven horses were
sold at more than EURO 25,000.
