Cocofino
November 21, 2002
Cocofino
is the name of the new most expensive horse ever sold
on an Equitop-auction in Verden. The first-class British
dressage rider Peter Storr bought the Cordoba/Weltmeyer-son
(breeder: H. Bolte, Syke-Okel) at 76.000,- Euro. The
chestnut gelding with the impressive movements descends
from the successful breed of state premium mare Goldlady.
She was a winning mare at the federal mare show and
winner of the German Agricultural Show competition.
This November-auction was the brilliant final of 2002:
With the new top horse, crowned by an excellent average
sales price of 11.732,47 EUR for 77 horses sold, the
Hanoverian Association looks back on the second best
auction year in his history.
The black mare Ecstasy E.H. by Espri/Pik Bube (Breeder:
E. Höhn, Celle), was runner up in the price range. She
was sold at 31.000,- EUR and will find her new home
in the United States. Foreign customers took again an
active part in this auction: 43 % of all horses sold
in the Niedersachsenhalle will be exported. Italian
customers bought 7 horses with the popular brand on
the hindquarters. 6 horses will move to Great Britain,
five to the United States.
