2009 Danish International Sales
Schockemohle Buys Price Highlight Foal at 2009 Danish International Sales
October 17, 2009
For the first time the Danish International Sales auction took place at the international dressage and show jumping competition in Odense, Denmark. German stallion owner Paul Schockemohle acquired the most expensive foal of the auction, Sandbæk's Lacapo.
Auctioneer Flemming Schultz struck down the hammer on 240,000 Danish Kroner (32,000 euro) for the bay colt Sandbæk's Lacapo, which was proclaimed Denmark's Champion Dressage Colt of the year this summer. The bay stallion is by Tailormade Temptation (by Tuschinski) out of a Solos Landtinus x Landau dam.
The Danish International Sales mainly included show jumping horses and foals but also featured a few dressage horses. The price highlight of the auction was the show jumper Casilius. This 3-year old Danish bred stallion by Casall sold for 800,000 Danish Kroner (107,500 €) to Sweden.
