German Young Rider Profiles
Tina
Wehlmann and Grand Fox
Fourth
member of the German Young Riders' Team is Tina Wehlmann
from Recklingshausen. Recently graduated, Tina is enjoying
her newly won "freedom" by spending her time with intensive
horse training. Trained by Hermann Gösmeier, she
became 20 short before the 1999 EUYRC lift-off. While
Tina established her biggest successes with the 11 year
old Hanoverian Whenever (by Werther), she qualified
for the German team with Grand Fox by winning both YR
tests at the Bad Honnef trials.
Wehlmann
created an astonishing presence at the European Young
Riders' Championships in Ksiaz, Poland, as she led in
the preliminary and team championship test. In the individual
finals team mate Christina von Oldershausen passed her
with a 0.16% point difference. Wehlmann and Grand Fox
received the individual silver and team gold.
