2009 European Pony Championship

Danish Pony Team Announced

The Danish pony chef d'equipe Vibeke Degn Andersen and Danish Equestrian Federation announced the pony team that will represent Denmark at the 2009 European Pony Championships in Moorsele, Belgium, July 29 - August 2, 2009.

The Danish team includes:

• Rikke Lindberg - Brookland Moonwalker
• Anne Fabricius Tange - Tim
• Sofie Hougaaard - Dornick Son
• Sabrina Barnekow - Vermont

Biggest absentee from the team is Denmark's best pony rider Nanna Skodborg Merrald on Centrum. The bay Danish bred pony recently sustained a minor injury knocking himself and though he is back in full training he will not be ready to the Europeans. Skodborg Merrald is now aiming to compete this super talented pony at the 2009 Danish Pony Championships in the autumn.
