The opening ceremony of the 2009 European Pony Championships included a parade of all the competing nations.
Eurodressage filtered out the dressage riders from the pack and took snap shots of each dressage team.
Home country Belgium has a huge delegation of fans, especially in the eventing and jumping department. The Belgian Dressage Team, consisting of Noemie Goris, Alexa Fairchild, chef d'equipe Laurence van Doorslaer, Jorinde Verwimp and Geoffrey de Roy, aim to get a team and individual medal. Especially Goris can strive for an individual medal. She has been solidly scoring in the seventy percentage range. If she performs to standard or above, an individual could be in reach.

After the ceremony, the riders were given a present by Veronique Van Geenberghe, and a huge American style barbecue followed.
