Isabell Werth proved to be unbeatable both with Satchmo and Warum Nicht.
It was Satchmo's first appearance since the Olympic Games and there were no problems with the piaffe in Stuttgart. For Isabell it were tears of triumph. When handed a microphone after the Special, she just burst into tears, and it took her a while to find her voice again. She said that for her, this ride was proof that the horse deserved to be Olympic winner, that there was no lingering problem and that he really must have had a kink in his back in Hongkong. It was a very moving moment in the sold-out arena, which holds more spectators than the dressage arena in Aachen.

Trainer Wolfram Wittig was looking to it that everything went right with Isabell and Satchmo

Nadine Capellmann reconnected with her old trainer Klaus Balkenhol and is already reaping the fruits. Elvis VA has been ridden by Balkenhol and Capellmann the days prior to the Stuttgart show which led to a new appearance of the horse. Elvis VA looked better than ever. At the show, the pair was schooling the Grand Prix movements in a snaffle! |

Sharing training sessions with Capellmann were British Laura Bechtolsheimer and Klaus' daughter Annabel Balkenhol. The threesome was training at the stable in Rosendahl to get the best out of their horses.
