2007 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses

Belgian Horses Selected for 2007 WCYH Verden

AlabastroFollowing three national young horse selection trials in May and June in Belgium, the Belgian Equestrian Federation has been able to nominate four combinations that will represent Belgium at the 2007 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden, Germany, August 2-5, 2007.

The selected 5-year olds are

  • Chinatown's Dream - BWP mare by Pavarotti van de Helle x Furioso
    Rider: Vicky Smits
  • Vivaldi - KWPN stallion by Gribaldi x Belisar
    Rider: Dominique Mohimont

The reserve combinations are Vicky Smits with Cleverboy van de Abelendreef, Geert van der Borght with Crack van het Vijverhof and Amandine Prevost with Vledder M.

The selected 6-year olds are:

  • Alabastro - Hanoverian stallion by Alabaster x Brentano II (pictured)
    Rider: Nick van Laer
  • Donatello van de Helle - Oldenburg stallion by Donnerhall
    Rider: Tom Heylen

The reserve combinations are Sophie Baetens-Van Lent with Robin, Kara Bosman with Bijou van de Kempenhoeve and Tom Heylen with Universal.

The definite combinations will be named on July 24, 2007.
