Blue Hors Matine Fails First Vet Check in Las Vegas

On Tuesday morning, all participating horses for the 2007 World Cup Dressage Finals in Las Vegas had to go through the FEI vet check. All horses passed except Andreas Helgstrand WEG silver medal winning mare Blue Hors Matine (by Silvermoon) who appeared uneven at the jog. The mare will be up for reinspection Wednesday morning.

All riders were able to train in the main ring on Monday and Tuesday. A briefing with the judges also took place in which was said that the arena, which is 20 x 60 m, has no room to ride around and that riders have to enter the ring straight away. Furthermore, the riders were brought to the attention that the audience in Las Vegas could start clapping in the middle of the test, something typically done in the U.S.A.

On Wednesday, the riders of each country get 20 minute practice time in the main ring which has been sold out just for the training session. The draw for the Grand Prix class on Thursday takes place Wednesday evening at 6 PM.
