The afternoon before she started in the Grand Prix, Isabell Werth just let Satchmo trot a bit, playfully, on the lunge, to strengthen his trust in the surroundings. Fascinating to watch, like everything she does.

While Holger Schmezer did have his striking black-red-golden umbrella with him while the sun was shining, he left it in the car just before it started to pour. Junior riders' trainer Hans-Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen helps him out.

A German fan!

Lots of TV coverage. They are absolutely superb in filming dressage and editing it! Check out their professional coverage (to be seen on Eurosport, WDR).

Besides the Germans, the largest group of supporters at the World Equestrian Games is surprisingly from Australia!!! So many fans there. Wow!

The hardest working people at the show under the worst conditions! Stuffed like sardines in a small box they can not leave under any circumstances! Pity the photographers who do all this for you!

No, the day is not finished yet! Off they go to the press center to download and organize thousands of photos to meet deadlines.

Some visitors posing with mascot Karli
Karli is so much more popular than Goleo, the lion macot of the soccer world cup
