Warum Nicht FRH Withdrawn from 2006 World Equestrian Games

August 18, 2006

Werth Warum NichtThe German Equestrian Federation reported that Isabell Werth has withdrawn Warum Nicht FRH from the 2006 World Equestrian Games. The chestnut Hanoverian gelding by Weltmeyer injured himself and will not be fit for the Games.

The 10-year old gelding sustained a contusion of the pastern bone in the right hind leg and can not be trained the next few days. The German Olympic Equestrian Committee (DOKR) has appointed the 12-year old Hanoverian gelding Satchmo (by Sao Paulo) as replacement for Warum Nicht.

The German Team that will compete at the 2006 World Equestrian Games is currently constituted by Heike Kemmer (Bonaparte), Nadine Capellmann (Elvis), Isabell Werth (Satchmo) and Hubertus Schmidt (Wansuele Suerte).
