Spanish Team Selected for the 2006 World Equestrian Games

Juan Antonio Jiminez - GuizoYesterday, the Spanish Equestrian Federation officially announced the Spanish team that will compete at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany, August 20 - September 3, 2006.

The Spanish dressage team includes:

  • Rafael Soto (Invasor)
  • Juan Antonio Jiménez (Guizo)
  • Ignacio Rambla (Distinguido)
  • José Ignacio López Porras (Nevado Santa Clara)

All four team riders are orginally from Andalucia. Three of them (Rafael Soto, Ignacio Rambla and Jose Ignacio Porras) are trainers at the Real Escuela in Jerez de la Frontera. Juan Antonio Jimenez currently runs a dressage stable in Madrid. All team horses are Iberian bred. Distinguido, Invasor and Nevado are PRE, Guizo is Portuguese.
