A very happy Beatriz waving to the crowds. |

British Emile Faurie aboard his latest Grand Prix horse, Racit.
|
More Brits in action, Emma Hindle and Lancet |
Lovely back shot of Lancet in the half pass |
Spanish Jose Antonio Garcia Mena is competing his first warmblood in his career. Bernstein Las Marismas, owned by Eduardo and Yvonne Muniz, is in training with Garcia Mena and Jan Bemelmans. |
Peter Storr, Andrew Gardner, Wayne Channon watching the FEI pony classes... |
Dominique D'Esme being interviewed for television. |
The Grand Prix might have been the most "important" class, but the most fun one was definitely the FEI pony tests. The kur was won by Licinio on Don't Worry |
FS Don't Worry.
Not only Germany's best producing pony stallion, but also one of the world's best dressage ponies. |
Sanneke Rothenberger and Konrad won on the first day but finished second twice behind Licinio on Friday and Saturday. |
Lovely combination. Alice Thompson and Donnerblitz. The union jack was stuffed in Alice's boots for the award ceremony. |
Sanneke's brother Sönke rode the 2005 European Pony Champion Deinhard B. A very promising combination for the future. Sönke is 11 years old (turning 12 later this year) and his pony will be 7. This makes them the youngest combination at Saumur. |
Also one of the youngest FEI pony riders was the Dutch Maria van den Dungen. The twelve year old Maria competed Milkshake and was the third best performing Dutch pony rider in Saumur. |
The best Belgian FEI pony rider was Ans Vanhoef aboard the fantastic Mausi. |
