Portuguese Horses Selected for W.C. Verden

Miguel Ralao Duarte on SigonhaThe Portuguese Equestrian Federation announced the six young horses that have been selected to represent Portugal at the 2005 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. Based on their performances at the national qualifier Concurso de Dressage Especial “TAÇA F.N.A.” June 4-5, 2005 , the following horses were selected:

The Portuguese 5-year olds:

  • Talisco (Lusitano, by Xaquiro out of Noz) -
    Rider: Miguel Ralao Duarte - Owner: Dr. Pedro Ferraz da Costa
  • Triunfo (Lusitano, ?)
    Rider: Jeanette Jenny - Owner: Arsenio Raposo Cordeiro
  • Tejo (Lusitano, ?)
    Rider: Leonor Ramalho - Owner: Casa Cadaval

The Portuguese 6-year olds:

  • Sigonha (Lusitano, by Esquivo out of Doris)
    Rider: Miguel Ralao Duarte - Owner: Coudelaria Ferraz da Costa
  • Spartacus (Lusitano, by Xaquiro out of Juno)
    Rider: Jeanette Janny - Owner: Luis Pidwell
  • Sol (Lusitano, ?)
    Rider: Leonar Ramalho - Owner: Frederico Bonacho dos Anjos
