Belgian Horses for 2005 World Young Horse Championship Selected

Nick van Laer, Jeroen Devroe, Vicky Smits and Ludo VerbraekenThe Belgian Dressage Committee has announced the official Belgian squad that will be sent to the 2005 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses, following a selection trial at Domaine Mon Souhait in Braine L'Alleud on Tuesday June 7, 2005. FEI judges Mariette Withages, Freddy Leyman and Jacques Van Daele judged twelve 5-year olds and six 6-year olds.

Their final pick for Verden is:

5-year olds

  • Nick van Laer on Hennessy Xo, an Oldenburg stallion by Hohenstein x Welt Hit II
  • Ludo Verbraeken on Aros, a Belgian warmblood gelding by Saros van het Gestelhof x Donnerschlag

6-year olds

  • Vicky Smits on Daianira van de Helle, a Hanoverian mare by Dream of Glory x Ritual
  • Jeroen Devroe on Sierappel, a KWPN stallion by Montecristo x Flemmingh
