Emilie Faurie Named British Olympic Reserve Rider

Emile FaurieThe British Olympic Association, British Dressage selectors (David Trott, Judy Harvey and Rosemary Herbert) and the World Class Performance Manager (Ferdi Eilberg) have announced the travelling reserve for the Athens Olympic Games.

The reserve will be Emile Faurie (Oxfordshire), riding Mrs L Porter's and Mrs H Sawyer's 16hh bay gelding Rascher Hopes.

Emile and Rascher Hopes were part of the bronze medal winning European Championship team in 2003 and were also members of the British team at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 and the European Championships in 2001. Prior to this Emile took part in the Barcelona Olympic Games, three World Equestrian Games and two other European Championships.

Emile and Rascher Hopes competed in the CDIO at Hickstead last weekend, scoring 70.16% in the Grand Prix and 70.36% in the Grand Prix Special.
