Heath Ryan in Australian Team after Withdrawal Ricky
MacMillan
June 17, 2003
First
reserve rider Heath Ryan of the Australian Dressage
team for the 2003 Open European Championships in Hickstead,
England, has become a member of the team. First selected
rider Ricky MacMillan withdrew from the team. Crisp,
a Hanoverian gelding by Consul/T, sustained a splint
bone injury and will not be fit to compete in Hickstead
in August.
The 2003 Open European Championships are a qualifier
for the 2004 Olympic Games of Athens. Australia is one
of the countries who hope to qualify for the Games.
Heath Ryan has been a member of the Australian dressage
team at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez de
la Frontera. He's steady partner is Stirling Stilton,
an Australian warmblood by Salute out of Leica Park.
