CDIO Aachen
German and British Team For Nations' Cup Dressage
Announced
June 11, 2003
With
the biggest equestrian event of the year, the CHIO Aachen,
coming up next weekend, many national federations announced
their teams for the Nations' Cup Dressage.
The German Equestrian Federation has selected as German
team riders: Klaus Husenbeth with Piccolino, Heike Kemmer
with Bonaparte, Ann-Kathrin Linsenhoff with Renoir-Unicef
and Ulla Salzgeber with Rusty. Surprisingly absent from
the German team is Nadine Capellmann. Her number one
Grand Prix horse Farbenfroh sustained an injury several
months ago and is not yet fit to compete. Capellmann
will be riding Gracioso in Aachen, but in the regular
CDI classes instead of the CDIO tournament. Another
suprise is that Heike Kemmer and her chestnut Bonaparte
have been preferred to Isabell Werth with Satchmo.
The British riders selected to compete at this exclusive
event are: Nicola McGivern with Active Walero, Richard
Davison with Ballaseyr Royale, Emma Hindle with Wie
Weltmeyer and Fiona Bigwood with Habana. Reserve rider
is Emile Faurie with Rascher Hopes.
