Rousseau, Polansky and Rubels Win Second Leg of
Stallion Competition
The
second leg of the KWPN Stallion Competition, held at
the Ijzeren Man in Weert, The Netherlands, featured
Rousseau, Polansky and Rubels as winners.
At First/Second level (L level) Rousseau (Ferro x Roemer)
was undefeatable. Ridden by Nicolette van Lierop and
owned by Hilltop Farm, USA, Rousseau scored 86 points.
Rhodium (Ferro x Ramiro), ridden by Hans Peter Minderhour,
scored 9.5 on his canter and finished second overall
with 80.5 points. Riant, trained by the Belgian young
rider Delphine Meiresonne and shown by Anke Ter Beel,
finished third together with Ro-Lex under Madeleine
Vrees. Anky van Grunsven and her Redford (Krack C x
Ferro) were good for a fifth position.
In Second/Third level (M level) the Trakehner bred
Polansky (Kostolany x Donnerhall) established his second
victory in the competition. Gerdine Maree and Polansky
rode a very relaxed, supple test and scored 79 points.
Marijke Folmer and Paddox (Ferro x Darwin) excelled
in the trot and canter. Scoring 76.5 points, they were
second. Painted Black (Gribaldi x Ferro) and Hans Peter
Minderhoud came in third.
At Third/Fourth level, double World Champion Rubels
was invincible. They left the Hanoverian Whisper, also
ridden by Hans Peter Minderhoud behind them. In third
position was Bert Rutten aboard Paganini (Havidoff x
Statuar).
