2000
North American Young Riders Championships
Parker, Colorado, USA
Facing the Challenge
With
a third individual gold medal hanging round her neck,
Louise Labrucherie made Young Riders history. She could
have done it four times but her Brandenburg gelding
Artiste got too old in 1999. When asked if she never
felt burnt out for yet another NAYRC, Louise replied
with a big 'no'. "I don't feel burnt out, especially
after that one year break, and I came back with a new
horse." Next show season Louise will be doing a schooling
Grand Prix year with Picone and as a future career she
has decided to stay with the horses. "My parents bought
a nice facility and we have boarders, so I'll probably
be running that."
Louise has a bright future ahead of her, that's for
sure. With a good training facility in California, a
wonderful string of horses, a superb trainer and supporting
parents backing her up, there will be no doubt that
we hear from her soon.
