FEI
Ponies impressive, even in the freestyle
Two
FEI pony classes were inserted in the program of the
Park Festival Dressage at Bad Honnef. The preliminary
test was clearly dominated by Angoli-Anne Jensen, an
almost professional pony rider from riding club Neuhaus
Grevenbroich, who presented Brantops Capri Sun, a Rhinelander
pony stallion by Capri Moon. Jensen won the bronze medal
with this six year old pony in 1999 in the five year
old division at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf.
In Bad Honnef, the liver chestnut was definitely the
best in his third/fourth level exercises. Second placed
in the preliminary pony test was Dean 2, a liver chestnut
pony ridden by Anne Recker. Dean was the pony with the
largest movements and has a horse like conformation.
In
the freestyle Brantops Capri Sun switched places with
Goldino, an absolutely divine dun pony ridden by Jensen
as well. Capri Sun is owned by Brantops Pony Stud near
Dusseldorf, while the Rhinelander Goldino, by Golden
Dancer, is her own. Goldino is more refined in his conformation
but his movements are larger. Goldino won the silver
medal at the Bundeschampionate in 1998. He's now six
year old.
The best German pony riders were not in Bad Honnef
as the European Championships are coming up 23rd - 27th
July in Hagen, Germany.
