Nathorst's Guiness Out

The 10 year old Danish bred stallion Guiness has been withdrawn from the CHIO Aachen competition. Rider and owner Louise Nathorst was very disappointed when the judges rejected her dark bay at the re-inspection. Guiness, who is already qualified to compete at the Olympic Games in Sydney for the Swedish team, was diagnosed with an acute pulled muscle in the shoulder. Chief vet Dr. Freirich Wilhelm Hambuecken diagnosed the injury but claims that it may well have abated as early as next week. Sweden is still represented in Aachen by Peter Marnke with Flyinge Amiral and Jan Brink with Bjorsells Fontana
