CHIO Aachen, Where Olympic Decisions Are Made
CHIO
Aachen, the most sublime equestrian competition, begins.
From 12th to 16th July 2000 show jumping, dressage and
carriage driving competitions take place in the wonderful
German city Bad Aachen for their 102nd time. An interesting
field of competitors is there to compete in their final
selection trial for the Olympic Games. Especially the
Germans feel pressure as it is right now that they have
to show their Olympic potential. New German Champion
Ulla Salzgeber warmed up Rusty in all quietness this
Wednesday. The Russian gelding by Rebuss seems ready
for victory and even olympic gold. Nadine Capellmann
is competing both her Westphalians, Gracioso and Farbenfroh,
and scores will determine which one she'll take. The
battle for the fourth spot on the German team is open
for Heike Kemmer, Alexandra Simons-De Ridder and Michael
Klimke.
