Von Grebel surprises Switzerland

After a complicated battle in the dressage arena of the Oftringen Equestrian Centre Barbara von Grebel and her chestnut gelding Ramar were proclaimed the new Swiss Dressage Champions. Christine Stuckelberger, Daniel Ramseier and Barbara von Grebel distanced themselves from the pack and were the only three still in the run for the national dressage title after two preliminary tests (GP, GPS).

On the day of the finals, the Grand Prix freestyle, former Olympic Champion Stuckelberger got stuck on third place with her spooky Allga Bolino. Ramseier and Von Grebel had good rides with music in harmony of their horses' movements. Daniel Ramseier conquered first position with Parvenue Royal and was crowned as the new Swiss Dressage Champion, but after the award ceremony Von Grebel discovered a miscalculation in her freestyle score, which resultated in a switch of medals. Von Grebel received Ramseier's gold medal and he had to be pleased with Von Grebel's silver.
