1999
World Championships for Young Dressage Horses
Arnhem, The Netherlands
1 - 4 July, 199
Roval Investment, Investment For The Future!
Undisputed
winner of the 5 year old division at the 1999 World
Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Arnhem, The
Netherlands, was Roval Investment. The white socked
chestnut gelding distinguised himself from the pack
with his uphill canter and swinging, active trot.
German judge Christoph Hess was very pleased with Roval
Investment's performances throughout the competition.
"We can easily debate on the quality of the entered
horses. Several of them could be the rightful champion
but I think that Roval Investment shows the greatest
potential to become an international dressage horse."
The Dutch Birgitt van der Eyken did an excellent job
presenting this high sensitive and easily tensed KWPN
youngster (by Investment x Uniek). Roval and Birgitt
only formed a pair for three weeks but the combination
clearly seemed to match. Last year the chestnut gelding
was ridden by Madeleine Vrees who ended up fourth in
the 1998 Pavo Cup Circuit with this mount.
Breeder Mr. Bekkers and owner Mr van Eeuwen could not
but smile when their horse was laureled as the overall
champion of the 5 year olds and as the new World Champion.
