What's
Happening in the Dressage World?
October 2002
Despite
first rumours that Madeleine Winter Schulze (on bench
in the middle) was to retire as spokesperson for the
German Dressage teams and from the board of directors
of the German Equestrian Federation, Winter Schulze
has decided only to quit her job as spokesperson. Madeleine
Winter Schulze, who was the former German Dressage and
Show Jumping champion, will keep her position in the
board of the FN and in the dressage selection committee
of the DOKR.
With a little help from friends, everything will work.
World wide photographers seemed to have noticed that
the Eurodressage/Horsesdaily alliance works and at the
World Equestrian Games more photographers are applying
the same work format like Horsesdaily did already back
in 1998. Mary Phelps and JJ Hathaway then decided to
get new force for their company by selecting a "young
female European brain" as additional force for
the business. At the 2002 World Equestrian Games in
Jerez, it became obvious that more press people are
using the same format. Arnd Bronkhorst acquired himself
a new girlfriend who turned out to be an excellent marketing
engineer and photo tech for his business. Belgian photographer
Dirk Caremans has found new bliss and happiness with
girlfriend Karen, who is already getting to know the
buttons on the camera too. Of course, Chris Hector and
Roz Neave are the established example of a successful
equestrian journalists' duo.
Mondorf Les Bains, the luxurious casino city in money
paradise Luxembourg, is holding a three star CDI again
after many years of non-activity in the dressage world.
Mondorf Les Bains was known for its European Championships
which were won by Nicole Uphoff in 1989 and by Isabell
Werth in 1995. Paul Keyser is the organizer of the 2003
CDI Mondorf Les Bains which will take place September
11 to 14, 2002.
