What's Happening in the Dressage World?

The gorgeous little NRPS Pony Valentijn found a new home in Belgium. Owner Wendy van der Helm got connected with trainer Angelique Hostyn through the advertisement on Junior Riders. In the week of 15th May 2000, Valentijn will be ridden by Stephanie Gevaert and trained by Mrs Hostyn from Oudenburg, Belgium.

Belgian Prix St. Georges rider Ronny Livens is ravished with his new talent Klister. Full brother to the approved KWPN stallion Jazz (ridden by Tineke Bartels), Klister is Livens' new potential for the future. Klister, who is trained at Prix St. Georges by the Dutch Leida Strijk, hopes to bring the chestnut to the highest level of dressage. "We can not predict what the future will bring but Klister is incredibly talented," his wife Kris said to Junior Riders. "Ronny tried out three horses in Holland and Klister was the one he wouldn't get off. He knew immediately that he was the one." Klister is owned by the family Painblanc whose daughter Sofie rides the FEI pony Muldershof Chico at Ronny's barn De Pronkenberg in Kontich near Antwerp.

Ronny Livens sold his former Prix St Georges talent Lord Romanow to the United States. Through the horse brokerage of Stefan van Ingelgem, Lord Romanow was purchased by an equestrian family from Illinois. The dark bay gelding will move to Chicago where he will continue his show career with a young rider. Lord Romanow is a Belgian warmblood by Romanow von Pferdheim.

Koen and Matti Geerts from De Zelmhoeve in Mol, told Junior Riders that their young star Rockefeller van de Zelm has been sold abroad. They didn't want to disclose the new owner's name in order to prevent rumours from spreading.

Delphine Meiresonne might be making her Belgian Junior Riders debut with her new horse Ferrari on 21st May 2000. Meiresonne, who was the 1998 European Pony Champion with Noble Casper, purchased this talented young riders horses several months ago at Gestuet Tannenhof in Wiesbaden, Germany. Delphine has entered herself in the junior riders' classes at the 2000 Dressage at De Steppe competition in Mol, Belgium. Ferrari is a Danish warmblood by Fanal x Mago xx. "We are not yet sure if he'll be ready by the 21st. We entered the show, but we will still wait and see concerning an actual participation at the show, Mrs Meiresonne told Junior Riders. "Delphine and Ferrari are just starting to click and they still need to learn much from each other," Christine said.

Junior Riders' "House Photographer" Dirk Caremans moves along with time and finally acquired his Canon digital camera. "My digital arrived today. Now I can start playing," he said. Congratulations Dirk, let's hope that Junior Riders can benefit from this great purchase.
