Blue Horse Cavan and Lars Petersen
More
and more stallion owners feel the need to have their
"possessions" compete in the big ring to attract more
breedings. This trend which started in the sixties seems
to be climaxing as statistics show that a large portion
of the top international dressage mounts are of male
gender, and licensed for breeding. Blue Horse Cavan
is at the moment the most successful approved stallion
on the dressage scene. With his steady rider Lars Petersen
he pair placed 5th individually at the 1999 European
Dressage Championships in Arnhem, The Netherlands.
Blue Horse Cavan, a Cavalier x Damnatz descendant,
was purchased at the 1992 Verden Stallion Licensing
for Hanoverians horses. The well built stallion heralded
himself as pillar of the Danish team which won team
bronze in Arnhem. Bred by F.W. Rusch from Belum, Germany,
Cavan switched owners after the approval in Verden and
moved to Denmark. Up for Stud at Denmark's most prestigeous
stallion centre Blue Horse Stud, Cavan proves to have
the qualities which are expected of their offspring.
