Patrick Burssens clinic in Michigan, USA
Patrick
Burssens is a dressage rider with global impact. As
an international competitor with impeccable credentials,
Burssens began with the 1972 Belgium National Junior
Championship, he had membership on both the Belgian
and Mexican Olympic Teams, won the 1998 White Fences
Dressage Derby Championship with DaVinci, and has many,
many more awards and accolades. His students have competed
on numerous national teams and have earned championships
across the world.
Patrick Burssens originally from Belgium now rides
for Mexico, the homeland of his wife, Marisol. A prominent
figure on the Florida Winter Circuit, with a new farm
in Wellington, and a barn full of horses and clients,
he has set his sights on qualifying for the Mexican
Team, with his Dutch Warmblood, Jagermeester.
With the trials beginning in Mexico, Burssens will
know soon if his winter scores in Florida will qualify
him to defend his Gold Medal in Winnipeg this summer,
at the Pan American Games which runs from July 23-August
8.
