Anne van Olst and Any How
The
Hanoverian colt Any How was first discovered on the
breed show in Rotenburg, Germany, in 1986. Immediately
selected for the Verden Elite Foal auction, the bay
Ataturk descendant soon moved to Denmark via the Verden
sale centre.
Bred by Alfred Kunzler out of an Akrobat x Celadon
xx dam, this colt, formerly named "Asti", was purchased
by Vagn Bennetsen from Denmark for the amount of 7,000
Deutsch Mark. Asti reappeared on the scene under the
show name Any How. The Danish Anne van Olst-Koch bet
on her reserve horse as first mount Dempsey (by Dan
Senator) got injured at the beginning of the 1999 show
season. Any How became an important contributor to the
Danish Team Bronze medal at the European Championships
in Arnheim, The Netherlands, in July.
