Power and Paint to Rachell Fokker
October 14, 2007
The
German Reitpony stallion Power and Paint has found
a new rider, the 11-year old Dutch pony rider Rachell
Fokker. Previously owned
by the German Pasch family, Power
and Paint was initially leased
to clients of Coby van Baalen. Now, the Fokker
family has made an agreement with the Pasch family
and Van Baalen to take over the care and
training of the
roan
stallion. Power and Paint will be Rachel's new FEI
dressage pony, with whom she hopes to achieve a place
on Dutch pony team.
The rising 15-year old Power and Paint (by Power Boy
x Dancer) was vet checked at the clinic in Kerken on
Friday October 12, 2007, after which he moved to the
Fokkers. "Rachell
Fokker is thrilled to be the new rider of Power and
Paint," Van
Baalen stated. "She comes to Brakel on a daily
basis and already knows Power very well. The match
with Power and Paint is amazing and Power visibly
enjoys the fact that he may help yet another rider
in an early sports career. Rachell Fokker and Power
and Paint will be trained on a daily basis by
Coby and Marlies van Baalen."
With Marrigje van Baalen,
Mara de Vries and Angela Krooswijk, Power and Paint
has achieved numerous
national and international successes. Continuously
he was part of the Dutch national team. Since 2005
Angela Krooswijk was the rider of Power and Paint
. Their road to the pony top went in high speed and
they
have taken home the silver team medal twice and individual
bronze at European Championships, to name a few of
their successes.
