Edward Gal to Compete Serano Gold
January 3, 2006
Yesterday,
Edward Gal and Nicole Werner officially announced that
the Oldenburg stallion Serano Gold will
be trained and competed by Gal in the future. The young
dark bay stallion has already been in training at Gal's
stable in Harskamp, The Netherlands, for two months,
despite his appearance under a female rider at the
2005 Oldenburg Althengst Parade at the end of November
2005.
Serano Gold is a 4-year old Oldenburg bred stallion
by Sandro Hit out of St. Pr. St. Eskoria (by Grundstein
II x Futuro). He is bred by Willi Gering and owned
by Birte and Heinz Ahlers. In 2003 he finished sixth
at the Bundeschampionate and
second
at the Regional
Championships
under Heiko Klausing.
Serano Gold scored high notes in his 30-day stallion
test, receiving 9.7 for rideability.
"We are ecstatic that we succeeded in finding a top
class rider like Edward Gal for Serano Gold," Heinz
Ahlers stated. "Edward will be preparing him for the
next show season." Through mediation of Emmy de Jeu
and Goffe Nil van der Zijden, Serano Gold got placed
at Gal's stable for the training of his dressage career.
