Arts Demaran Sold to Maria van den Dungen

The Rhinelander pony palomino gelding Arts Demaran has been sold to Dutch FEI pony rider Maria van den Dungen. The talented Demaran is one of Germany's best 6-year old dressage ponies and was previously owned and competed by Louisa Luttgen.

The delightful palomino Demaran is bred by Hermann Arts. He is by Dancer Boy out of Arts Demara (by Derbino) and is the full brother to the reigning European Dressage Pony Champion Dulcia. Under Louisa Luttgen, the 6-year old Demaran finished 8th at the 2006 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf.

Demaran was vet checked in Germany by Dr. Nolting, who is the official veterinarian of the German Olympic Dressage and Show Jumping team. Taking the current strict FEI pony measurement system into consideration, Demaran was measured at Dr. Nolting's practice and stands 1,48 m with shoes, which is well within the FEI allowed limit for ponies.

The 12-year old Maria van den Dungen is the youngest member of the international Dutch Pony Dressage Team. With her 'professor' Milkshake she competed at the 2006 European Pony Championships in Saumur, France, where she won team silver and finished 12th individually. With her second pony Hertenhof's Sunlight, the 2005 European individual bronze medallist, she has been successful at the CDIO-P Le Touquet, where she won the team individual test, as well as at national shows.

Arts Demaran will be Van den Dungen's third world class FEI dressage pony. The sale of this German bred to a Dutch pony rider is important for the rising quality of the pony circuit in The Netherlands.
