Prestige VDL in Training with Edward Gal

May 12, 2005

Edward Gal and Prestige VDLThe KWPN dressage stallion Prestige VDL is in training with Dutch Grand Prix rider Edward Gal. Prestige's owner Stud van de Lageweg in Bears, The Netherlands, decided to move the stallion to Gal's barn in Harskamp, The Netherlands, as it provided a better combination between breeding and showing.

"The stallion has to be trained, and especially now that he's moving up the levels he will be breeding more and he will need more training," Wiebe-Yde van de Lageweg told Eurodressage "We believe that Edward Gal is one of the best dressage riders in The Netherlands and Prestige will now be breeding and be trained at the same farm."

Prestige VDL (by Silvano N x Good Times) used to ridden by Christa Laarakkers. They won the KWPN Stallion Competition at Z-level in 2004. As a 3-year old Prestige VDL, won the Stallion Testing in Sweden in 2000.

Prestige VDL moved from Bears to Edward Gal in Harskamp 10 days ago. At the moment, VDL can not yet announce a show schedule for the stallion.
