Obrian sold to British Young Rider Gemma Green
April 14, 2003
British
Young Rider Gemma Green purchased the Dutch warmblood
Obrian as future Grand Prix prospect. The 7-year old
liver chestnut stallion Obrian is by Flemingh out of
a Maestro dam. He was bred by Mr Ansems and trained
and shown by Margie and Sabine Ansems at Fourth level.
In 2001, Dutch professional Grand Prix rider Seth Boschman
showed the stallion at the World Championships for Young
Dressage Horses in Verden and finished with him overall
fourth in the 5-year old division.
Gemma Green will keep Obrian in training with Henk
van Bergen in The Netherlands until the stallion is
ready for Grand Prix. Green was member of the British
Pony Team at the 1999 European Pony Championships, where
won team silver with her pony Daphne. In 2002 she won
team bronze with the British young riders team riding
Maxwell. For the 2003 show season, Green is saddling
the Dutch stallion Argentille Gullit to compete in the
young riders' division.
