Sjef Janssen, Member of the FEI Dressage Commission

Janssen has been appointed by the FEI as member of the
FEI Dressage Commission. Last year, the Dutch Equestrian
Federation (KNHS) put Janssen forward as candidate for
the FEI Dressage Commission and this year the FEI has
accepted him officially.
The 53-year old Janssen lives in Erp, The Netherlands,
and already fulfils the position of Dutch Grand Prix
Dressage Team Coach together with Johan Hinnemann. Janssen
is also steadily training Anky van Grunsven, Arjen Teeuwissen
and Tineke Bartels. In 1991, Janssen won team bronze
and placed sixth individually on Bo at the European
Championships.
The FEI Dressage Commission is a part of the FEI Technical
Commission. It creates the rules and does the management
of dressage competitions, as well as co-ordinate, introduce
and promote new international dressage shows and classes.
Chairwoman of the FEI Dressage Commission is the Belgian
Mariette Withages.
