German Young Rider Amelie Wanda Worschech Dies in Car Accident

We sadly report the passing of German Young Rider Amelie Wanda Worschech, who died after a severe car accident on 20 April 2010. Worschech was on her way home from the national competition in Kronberg when she got fatally wounded in a car crash.
Worschech, who is the Thuringian regional dressage champion, competed Rosaly (by Rohdiamant) at Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff's Schafhof to qualify for the Preis der Besten. She had returned her horse to the barn and was driving home when she made a drastic maneuver to avoid a plastic canvas on the road. She lost control over her car and crashed.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and transported her to the hospital, where she succumbed from her injuries a few hours later. Amelie Wanda Worschech celebrated her 20th birthday on 5 January 2010. The funeral wil take place Tuesday 27 April 2010 at 14.00h in Erfurt Möbisburg.
