Westerland Sold to Nadine Capellmann
March 9, 2007
German A-team rider Nadine Capellmann continues to expand her collection of horses. The Wurselen based German Grand Prix rider recently purchased the 7-year old Hanoverian stallion Westerland (Welser x Loredo) from Luxembourg dressage rider Sascha Schulz.
Westerland was initially purchased by the syndicate Schulz-Stoltz-Umbach at the 2004 Verden Summer Auction of Hanoverian Sport Horses for 28,000 euro. Sascha Schulz and Westerland became the 2004 and 2005 Luxembourg Young Horse Champions and the pair competed in the finals at the 2005 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses, in which they placed 13th.
Schulz runs Dressage Stable Umbach-Schulz together with Christoph Umbach. Their stable is located at the new equestrian center "Ecuries-des-Pres" in Leudelange, Luxembourg.
