Rion Sold Abroad
January 23, 2006
Nadine Capellmann's Oldenburg stallion Rion has been
sold abroad. Though the name of the new owner is not
mentioned, Capellmann disclosed that a female young
rider will make the transition to Grand Prix with him.
"It took me a long time to decide whether to sell
Rion or not," Capellmann stated, "but then I decided
to focus myself fully on Elvis and Zancor and make
more time available for the upcoming horses."
Capellmann purchased the Oldenburg Rion (by Rohdiamant
x Futuro x Aktuell) from Mariane Moetefindt in January
2004 and competed him a couple of times in Germany,
but
did not force an impressive break through on him. Her
partner at the time, Martin Schaudt, took over the
ride in April 2005, but was unable to score high on
the black either. Rion then returned to Capellmann's
barn
in
Wurselen,
and got sold last week.
