May 22, 2003

Tannenhof's leading Grand Prix dressage horse, Tannenhof's
Chopin, has been sold to Austria. Chopin, a 13-year
old Dutch bred gelding by Pele out of Elanda by Le Val
Blanc xx, has been sold to the 49-year old Austrian
Grand Prix rider Evelyn Haim-Swarowski.
Plonzke and Chopin's best achievement ever was a victory
at the 2000 CDI Aachen, but they claimed more trophies
and ribbons throughout their long career together. In
February 2003, the pair finished eighth with 70.68%
in the Kampmann Cup Finals in Bremen.
Chopin's roots lie in The Netherlands, where he was
trained and shown by Kebie van der Heyden. At the young
age of 7, Chopin represented the Dutch young rider team
under Van der Heyden at the European Young Riders Championships
in Helsinki. They came home with the team gold medal.
Kebie and Chopin managed to win almost every competition
they ever competed in right up until the time of his
sale to Anja Plonzke in Germany.
