Weinrausch Sold to Sissy Max-Theurer
November 1, 2002
One
of Germany's talented Grand Prix horses, the 10-year
old Hanoverian gelding Weinrausch, has been sold to
Sissy Max-Theurer. Millionaire and former Olympic gold
medallist Sissy Max-Theurer has been purchasing a legion
of top artillery dressage horses at German sport horse
auctions and private farms. Weinrausch is claimed to
be sold for 1.5 million Euro's. Madeleine Winter-Schulze
had also expressed her interest in Weinrausch as mount
for Isabell Werth, but considered him too expensive.
Her latest addition is Weinrausch, a bay Hanoverian
by Walt Disney x Darling and formerly trained and shown
by Insa Hansen, who is Ullrich Kasselmann's chief stable
rider. In 1996, the gelding got sold for 900,000 Deutsch
Marks at the P.S.I Auction. Previously owned by Dr Friedrich
Landwehremann, Weinrausch was trained to Grand Prix
by Jean Bemelmans, Klaus Martin Rath and Dieter Laugks.
Laugks became the 2002 German reserve champion for professional
dressage riders.
Insa Hansen competed the horse later on, but now has
to give the ride to an Austrian star. Destined rider
for Weinrausch is of course Sissy's daughter Viktoria
(pictured). The 17-year old Viktoria is already the
vice junior rider champion of Europe with her
