Summer Championships Without Ingrid Klimke

Ingrid and NectorRight after the World Cup Dressage Finals in 's Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, German versatility woman Ingrid Klimke has announced that this summer she won't riding any championships at all. Reason of her absence on both the international dressage and eventing scene is that she will be giving birth to her very first child. Married one year ago, Ingrid Klimke is very much looking forward to this new member of the Klimke family.

The 34-year old Klimke will, therefore, not be riding at any of the German Championships, nor will she compete at the World Championships in Jerez de la Frontere, Spain, for which she hoped to qualify. At the same time with the announcement of her child, Klimke also mentioned that her father's 18-year old Trakehner stallion Biotop will no longer be shown at competitions and only going to be used for breeding.
